Garlic Olive Oil Grilled Cheese (Better Than Butter)

Stop Using Butter

This is the easiest upgrade you’ll make.

Instead of butter, use garlic olive oil.

It crisps better.
It tastes better.
And it doesn’t feel heavy.

Same sandwich. Completely different result.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat
  2. Brush one side of each slice of bread with garlic olive oil
  3. Place one slice oil-side down in the pan
  4. Add cheese on top
  5. Place second slice on top, oil-side facing up
  6. Cook for 2–3 minutes until golden brown
  7. Flip and cook the other side until crispy and cheese is melted
  8. Remove, slice, and serve

Why This Works

Butter sits on the surface.

Olive oil soaks into the bread.

That means:

  • more even crisping
  • deeper flavor
  • better texture

And garlic olive oil adds flavor without extra steps.

Make It Anytime

Perfect for:

  • quick lunches
  • comfort food cravings
  • late-night snacks

Simple. Fast. Always hits.

The Flavor That Makes the Difference

Pro Tip

Use medium heat, not high.

Too hot and the bread burns before the cheese melts.

Pair It With

  • Tomato soup
  • Side salad
  • Chips or fries
  • Pickles
