The Everyday Balsamic That Keeps Food Bright

Delicately sweet, pleasantly tangy and endlessly versatile, Seven Barrels White Balsamic Vinegar adds brightness to food without the dark color or heavier flavor of traditional balsamic vinegar.

Crafted in Modena from white wine vinegar and Trebbiano grape must, this gourmet aged white balsamic has a smooth, slightly viscous texture that works beautifully in vinaigrettes, marinades and finishing sauces. Its balanced flavor complements delicate ingredients such as seafood, fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, vegetables and fruit without overpowering them.

Why Choose White Balsamic?

White balsamic delivers the balanced sweetness and acidity people love in balsamic vinegar while preserving the natural color of the food. It is especially useful for seafood, light-colored vegetables, fresh cheeses and summer salads.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is white balsamic vinegar?
White balsamic is a lighter-colored balsamic condiment made from white wine vinegar and grape must. It has a gently sweet, tangy flavor and a lighter appearance than traditional dark balsamic.

How is white balsamic different from dark balsamic vinegar?
White balsamic is generally lighter in color and more delicate in flavor. It adds balsamic sweetness and acidity without darkening seafood, vegetables, fruit, fresh cheese or sauces.

Is white balsamic the same as white wine vinegar?
No. White balsamic combines white wine vinegar with concentrated grape must and grape must, giving it more sweetness, body and complexity than ordinary white wine vinegar.

Is White Balsamic Vinegar overly sweet?
No. It has noticeable sweetness balanced by a clean, pleasant tang. Customers frequently describe it as having the right balance of sweetness and acidity.

Which olive oil pairs best with White Balsamic Vinegar?
Sweet Basil Extra Virgin Olive Oil is the signature pairing. Meyer Lemon EVOO is excellent for seafood and salads, while Tuscan Herb EVOO works well in marinades and savory dishes.

Why is white balsamic good for salad dressing?
Its smooth, slightly thicker texture blends easily with olive oil and helps homemade dressings remain mixed after whisking.

Does White Balsamic Vinegar contain sulfites?
Yes. It contains naturally occurring sulfites.

Does it need refrigeration after opening?
No not to my knowledge and it’s been fine
Can I see the the label for added sugars in the dressing?
The ingredient label on the White Balsamic Vinegar seems to indicate some added sugar. I don't feel it is very clear. The Nutrient label clearly indicates the total amount of sugar, which I believe is from naturally occurring and added.
